Laser Beam through a Single Slit

In this video, you see a laser beam being passed through a single slit (width 0.1 mm). The screen placed on the other side shows the resulting interference pattern: A wide central bright fringe (called the central maximum) flanked by narrow dimmer fringes on both sides.
