  • Measure the time for 25 oscillations and calculate T=\frac{{{t}_{1}}+{{t}_{2}}}{2\times 25}
  • Measure the mass of 50 sheets of paper M and calculate m=\frac{M}{50}
  • For experiments that involve loading, a “load-unload” repeat may be worthwhile.

    • In the first run, data was collected as mass is gradually added to the spring. Repeat the entire experiment. In the second, data is collected as mass is gradually removed from the spring. Data in the two runs are compared to ensure reproducibility and to check that the spring was not permanently deformed during the experiment.
